This month’s #pauseforreflection coincides with some big life events – universal and personal. Renewal is available to all of us and an important part of a life-well-lived-cycle.
Read MoreAs I #pauseforreflection over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been reading a lot about the benefits of being still, contemplation and going slower. Despite the health, creative, performance and soulful benefits, as a society we are so resistant to the concept of stillness. The ego likes to be busy!
Read MoreThis week as I #pauseforreflection I'm thinking about all our life stages - births, deaths and marriages and everything in between. Do we honour all the stages appropriately? Read MoreChange is in the air….I’m enjoying watching how the leaves on the old oaks in our street are just starting to turn – autumn is knocking. A reminder of the cycles we all live by and the opportunity those cycles continue to present to us. Cycles also mean constant change and sometimes renewal. Read MoreSuccess! did you manage to find some time to reflect upon what it really means to you…that was last week’s challenge. This week I’m re-reading some of John O’Donohue’s beautiful conversations in “Walking in Wonder”. I’d describe the late John as not only a poet and author but a true modern mystic. Someone who walked amongst us a little more evolved and connected, feeding the deep spiritual hunger that lies in many of our hearts. He illuminated the way for us and helped us to understand and question life in a more informed and less frightened way. This week I had thought to ask a question around how we ‘wonder’ but I have a more pressing question in mind.

Read MoreSo what makes you come alive? – that was the question I posed to you last week in the first of the blog series #pauseforrefelction. Thanks to all who shared their ‘aliveness’ – we had everything from dancing, watching the sun rise, being in nature, swimming, being with people I love… Thank you for all your feedback – I love hearing your stories and insights. We all get another chance this week – week 2 as we try to build in some pause for reflection so you can live more deliberately and transform the way you live….
Read MoreI plan to post one question per week for your consideration as part of my challenge to us all to ‘Pause for Reflection’ - #pauseforreflection. We can all benefit from carving out time to stop! With burnout at an all time high and research revealing that up to 50% of clinical burnout sufferers haven’t recovered fully even after 4 years, we need to find another way to BE in this world.
